We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joseph Arthur Smith Jr. of Mount Airy, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Arthur Smith, Sr. and Leona Allen Smith; and his siblings, Betty Sue Norman (Al) and William Leonard "Bill" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Polly Kirkman Smith; his daughter Paula Smith (Bryan Griswold); his grandsons, Bryan Griswold and Smith Griswold (Melissa); and his sister-in-law Vada Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family asks that the public practice social distancing and wear a face mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bannertown Baptist Church Building Fund, 1834 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
