He is survived by: his wife Julia "Dawn" Hegler Gardner; his children, Vanessa Church (Charles) and Jonathan Wayne Gardner (Meagan); his grandchildren, Kannon Gardner, Tripp Gardner, Carson Soriano and Barrett Church; his sisters, Libby Simmons (Billy) and Vickie Simpson (Ricky); and his sister-in-law Geraldine Tickle Gardner.
