He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dillon and Laura Plemmons Perry; and his sisters, Dottie Bowman and Norma Jean Perry. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Harrelson Perry; his children, John Lee Perry (Tammy), Mark Christopher Perry (Denise), Hal Hunter (Mary), Chris Hunter (Dove) and Charles Hunter (Dawne); his grandchildren, Seth Perry (Jessica), Nicholas Perry, Karina Perry, Joseph Hunter, Ellie Hunter, Olivia Hunter, Grace Hunter, Reece Hunter, Wren Hunter and Brooklyn Lewis (Bradley); his great grandchild John Cooper Perry; and his brother-in-law Bill Bowman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.
