It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Carl Spurlin Jr. of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl Spurlin, Sr. and Gladys Hiatt Spurlin; and his wife Joan Marie Parker Spurlin. He is survived by: his children, Kini Snow, Corey (Fran Spurlin) and Brandon (Sherri Spurlin); his grandchildren, Caleb, Laura Spurlin, Brittany, Josh Hawks, Cody, Alicia Spurlin, Ethan Edwards and Mally Snow; and his great grandchildren, Kali, Maggie Hawks, Caroline, Sawyer Spurlin, Josie and Joseph Spurlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
