He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joyce and Sarah Flippin Joyce; his daughter-in-law Carol H. Joyce; and his siblings, Hallie (Gus Schumaker), Lucy (Harsel Love) and Willie P. Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Payne Joyce; his sons, Ronald Joyce, Steve (Mary Joyce) and Stanley (Tammy Joyce); his grandchildren, Andrew Joyce, Sayako Robison, Jake Joyce, Katie and Joe Ferguson; his stepgrandchildren, Jeff, Lisa Stager, Kenny and Teresa Stager; and his great grandchild Henslee Carol Ferguson. He is also survived by seven step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
