She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Williams; and her siblings, Ellen Petrena Williams, Mary Lou Andrews, Opal Nealey, James Thomas Smith and Benny Harden Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Pastor Venessa Hughes of High Point, John William Hughes (Bill) of Chapel Hill and Leon Anthony Hughes of Durham; her grandchild Pastor Nichica F. Melton (Rodney); and her sister Betty Barr.
