It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Cleve Atkins of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woltz Atkins and Vena Atkins; his brothers, Larry Atkins and Bobby Atkins; his nephew Butch Goings; and his great-nephew Brady Sizemore.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Ann Atkins and Faye; his brother-in-law Bill Goings of Mt. Airy, NC; his brothers, Gray (Betty Atkins), Barnard "Podge" (Linda Atkins) and Joe (Lonette Atkins); and his sister-in-law Sherri Atkins of Wytheville, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with great and great-great nieces and nephews.
