With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim McGehee of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George McGehee and Freeda McGehee; and his grandson Luke. He is survived by: his wife Joy Belle Johnson McGehee; his children, Kimberly Hively (Jeff), James McGehee II (Nancy) and Shawn Hodge (Curtis); his grandchildren, Emilee Hinsley (Michael), Stephen Wilson (Erica), Ellen McKinney (Taylor), Grayson Hodge (Gabi), Marshall Hodge, Spencer McGehee and Grace McGehee; his great grandchildren, Levi, Hivelee, Carter, Rylan, Rhye and Benjamin; and his siblings, Doug McGehee (Mary Ellen), George Gregory McGehee and Mary Margaret Duke (Lonnie).
