It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jessie Ruth Angel of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Albert and Lillie Mae Hawks Angel; her siblings, Ruby Angel Willard, Lester Angel, Chester Angel and Andrew Angel; and her nephew Jimmy Angel.

She is survived by: her nieces, Melissa Angel Willard of Clemmons, Linda Angel Smith of Mount Airy and Carrie Mae Angel of Mount Airy; her nephew Jason Thomas Willard (Ronna) of Rural Retreat, VA; and her friend Amber Wagoner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
