He is survived by: his parents, Darrell Clayton Chappell and Carol Dean Richardson Chappell; his children, Jonathan Spencer and Kimberly Wright (Brady); and his sister Annette Flores. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild.
