Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Janie Louise Joyce of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 82, on January 16, 2023. She was predeceased by: her father Edgar Overby; and her husband Samuel Pete Joyce. She is survived by: her son Sammy Joyce (Cindy); her grandchildren, Ashley Kilby (Kevin) and Haley Everett (Dylan); her great grandchild Maggie Kilby; her siblings, Tom Overby (Mildred), Robert Overby (Sue), John Eddie Overby (Barbara), Grant Overby (Karoline), Clay Overby (Sandra) and Linda Corns; and her caregiver Alice Burgess. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the church.
