It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Andrews Nichols of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Edwin Andrews and Lucille Rose Andrews; and her sister Janice Rose Andrews. She is survived by: her husband Warren Cecil Nichols; her children, Warren, Charlie Merlin Nichols (Amy Mann Slate), Stuart Marshall Nichols (Jennifer Kelso Nichols) and Janet Leigh Nichols; her brothers, Adrene Andrews Brown (Elizabeth Andrews Bartle), Jack Bartle (Louise Andrews Clark) and Wiley Edwin "Bud" Andrews (Diane Andrews); and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Nichols Richards, Swanson Richards, Merle Nichols Tedder, Ron Tedder, Nancy Nichols Dawson and Penny Nichols Chilton. She is also survived by three nephews and eight nieces and their children and spouses.
