James Palmer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Palmer of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2020 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Palmer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Palmer and Irene Collins Palmer; his wife Betty Joyce Palmer; his sister Kathy Palmer Walker; and his nephew Michael Palmer.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law John Smoot of Burlington; his granddaughter Elizabeth Smoot of Greensboro; his siblings, JoAnn Palmer Simpson Hughes of Pfafftown and Jack; his sister-in-law Nancy Palmer of Pilot Mountain; his niece Gloria Simpson Willis; and his nephews, Mark Palmer, Greg Simpson and Tim Palmer.

Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
