He was predeceased by: his parents, Leeland Alexander Yates and Gladys Doss Yates Gilliam; and his siblings, Phyllis Yates, Judy Coward, Donnie Yates, Freddy Yates and Dennis Yates.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Pauline Norman Yates; his daughter Tammy; his son-in-law Dennis Campany of Harrisburg; his son Jimmy Lee; his daughter-in-law Mary Yates of Monmouth, IL; his grandchildren, Megan Campany, Hannah Campany, Nicholas Campany, Samantha Yates, Sara Yates and Stormi Yates; and his siblings, Carolyn Wyatt, Linda Hammock, Robin (Ronnie O'Connor) and Dewey Yeatts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
