He was predeceased by: his father Jahue Tobe Hodges; his wife Judith Faye Johnson Hodges; his great grandchild Anakin Goins; and his siblings, Zula "Sis" Myrtle Hodges Nelson, William Mack Hodges, Sr. and James Robert Hodges.

He is survived by: his children, Debby (Richard Frost), Angie (Ricky Collins), Jack Hodges, Jr. and Toby; his daughter-in-law Lisa Hodges; his great grandchild Alli Mosley Brown; his great great grandchild Silas Brown; his sister Diane; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Wood and Johnny (Geraldine Johnson). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
