With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Roberts Belton (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2018 at the age of 107. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Opie Urban "Dick". She is survived by: her parent Hattie Saunders Roberts; her daughter Carolyn Bonahue of Farrington; her children-in-law, Edward Bonahue of Farrington, Dick Belton of Mount Airy, Nancy Belton of Mount Airy, Bill Belton of Mount Airy and Jeanette Belton of Mount Airy; her husband Babe; her daughter-in-law Diane Belton; and her siblings, Mary Roberts Henneberry, Mildred Roberts Singletary, Jim Roberts, Woodrow Roberts, Bill Roberts, Frank Roberts and Don Roberts. She is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Organ Fund, 714 North Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
