She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Hicks and Maude Watson Hicks; her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Atkins; and her siblings, Verlie Hicks Hill, Bertie Mae Hicks Hall, Coney Hicks, Leonard Hicks, Ira Hicks, Norris Hicks, Herman Hicks and Broadus Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Spease Bullis; her daughter Kathy; her son-in-law Tim Atkins of Mount Airy; her sister Gladys; and her siblings-in-law, Bobby Wilson of Mount Airy and Barbara Hicks Gwyn of Mount Airy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
