He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Levi and Minnie Payne Nichols; and his siblings, Polly Quesinberry, Dot Cumming, Lou Sanders, Esther Johnson and Johnny Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Gaynelle Lena Holder Nichols; his son Tommy; his daughter-in-law Tina Nichols; his grandsons, Jeremy Nichols (Amber) and Nathan Nichols (Lyndsey); and his great grandchildren, Dylan Cooke, Lena, Andrew, William and Rosalyn Nichols.
