She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Beck, Sr. and Melita Jane Shinault Beck; her husband Calvin Ellis Nichols; and her siblings, Jane Trent, Mary Smith and Robert Lee Beck, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Maria; her son-in-law Jeff Irwin of Mount Airy; her stepgrandchildren, Amanda Irwin (Tom) of Wilmington, Michael, Liz Irwin of Marlton, NJ and Elizabeth Irwin (Cole) of Cochranton, PA; her siblings, Ruth Jones of Huntsville, AL, Betty Bryant of Mount Airy, Eunice Ward of Lambsburg, VA and James of Lambsburg, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Pauline Beck of Lambsburg, VA and Gracie Beck of Lambsburg, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
