She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimbo Smart and Belle Rakes Smart; her daughter Lavern Lawson; her siblings, Gilmer Smart, Dorothy Dollyhite and Wavie Rakes; and her grandson Timmy Collins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marie Lane and Rita Collins; and her sister Linda Conner (Marvin). She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
