He is survived by: his wife Joan Layman of Mt. Airy, NC; his sons, Matt Layman (Kim) of Belmont, NC, Mark Layman of Palm Desert, CA and Paul Layman (Robin) of Rutherfordton, NC; his stepdaughter Cathy Lusk (Dave) of Ararat, VA; his sister-in-law Barbara Morrison (Bill) of Lake Waccamaw, NC; his former wife Sara Layman of Cramerton, NC; and his friend Vicky Bowman (Dwayne) of Ararat, VA..
