She was predeceased by: her father Coy Leonard; her husband Franklin Lewis Bode; and her siblings, Launa Sykes Lankford Wilson, Fern Sykes Key, Teddie Sykes and Paul "Pete" Sykes.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Bode Hale (Daniel) and Lewis Bode; her daughter-in-law Tammy; her grandchildren, Emily Hale, Travis Pike, Sara Hale, John Strickland, Lora Bode Hill and Eric; and her great grandchild Katy Hill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
