He is survived by: his wife Teressa Butcher Gordon; his children, Karen (Henry Portis), Melissa (Marty Dunbar) and Richie; his daughter-in-law Sherry Gordon; his grandchildren, Brittany (Lance Richardson), Zack (Brianna Gordon), Courtney Langley (Yovanni Soriano), Whitney (Austin Smith), Hunter Dunbar and Parker Dunbar; his great grandchildren, Brody Cassell, McKenzie Smith, Cannon Smith, Nash Richardson, Knox Richardson, Aubrey Misay, Waylon Gordon, Memphis Gordon and Carson Soriano; his sister Charldene Hawks; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Gordon and J. R. Owens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
