He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hiatt Gentry; his daughters-in-law, Gregory Gentry, Jayne Gentry of Wilmington, Bryan Gentry, Becky Gentry of Lynchburg, Kyle Gentry of Mount Airy, Bradley Gentry, Natalie Gentry of Raleigh, Katelyn Gentry of Mount Airy, Kelsey Gentry of Provo, Parley Gentry and Darian Gentry of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Penny, Wilco, Paul, Ada, Josephine, Emmett and Alyssa; and his siblings, Gayle Grissett, Glynis Gentry, Gretta Jensen, Gina Snyder, Gretchen Dees, Gyll Moore, Gwynn McCoy, Glade Gentry and Gary Gentry.
