We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2023, at the age of 91, Franklin Monroe Riggs of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Brady Riggs and Lila Snow Riggs; his daughter-in-law Sherry Riggs; and his siblings, Louise Riggs Tucker, Lorene Riggs Marion, Irene Riggs Collins, Dorothy Riggs Casey, Elmer Riggs, Delmar Riggs and Brady Riggs, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Jessie Lee Frost Riggs; his sons, Tim (Margaret Riggs), Tommy Riggs, Tony (Teresa Riggs) and Travis Riggs; his stepchildren, Pam (David Flippin) and Greg (Debbie Edwards); and his sister Ellen Riggs Freeman. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
