It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fay Gilley Chandler of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Andy Alfred Gilley; her husband William "Bill" Edward Chandler; her daughter Cheryle Chandler; her great grandchildren, Evan Cornett and Ryan Cornett; and her brothers, Byron Gilley and Ray Gilley.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra; her son-in-law Don Edmonds; her grandchildren, Beth (John Cornett), Lynn (Charlie Wilkes) and Karen (Josh Apple); and her great grandchildren, Noah Wilkes, Allison Apple, Micah Apple and Chandler Wilkes.
