It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Hayes (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Early Ottis and Alma Morris Hayes; her sister Lola Mae; her brother-in-law Hassell Leon Dollyhigh; and her brothers, Roy Hayes and Allen Ottis Hayes.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Sylvia D., Kirk Boyles of Mount Airy, Norma D., Billy Warren of King, Jerry Dollyhigh of Mount Airy, Donald and Debbie Dollyhigh of Asheboro; and her close friends, Linda Barnes Chilton of Mount Airy and Norma Poore Miller of Dobson. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews; her extended family.
