She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Vance Brown and Rhesa Biggs Brown; her husband Henry Otis Smith; her daughter Deborah Anne Smith; and her brother James Leonard Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Faye Smith of Greensboro, NC; her brother Fred; her sister-in-law Dora Brown of Ridgeway, VA; and her stepsiblings, Margaret Stovall of Lawsonville, NC, Lewis (Betty Compton) and Michael (Diane Compton).
