He was predeceased by: his son Todd Edward Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Atkins Simmons; his daughter Scarlett Dowdy; his son-in-law Bob Dowdy; his son Eddie Simmons, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Meredith Dowdy, Jacob Simmons, Brenan Simmons and Cameron Simmons.
