He was predeceased by: his parent Earl Ralph; and his sister-in-law Janice Hawks Boyd. He is survived by: his parent Alma Irene Sexton Summers; his wife Patsy Faye Hawks Summers; his daughter-in-law Kevin Summers of Mount Airy; his grandchildren, Chase Summers of Mount Airy, Zaden Luke Summers of Mount Airy and Titus "Ty" Summers of Mount Airy; his sister Susan O'Neal of Mount Airy; his brother-in-law Cliff O'Neal of Mount Airy; his brother Leon Summers of Mount Airy; and also, Kasey Summers of Mount Airy, Luke Summers of Mount Airy, Velvet Tucker of Mount Airy, Kendal of Mount Airy and Karsyn of Mount Airy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
