She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Woodrow Potts and Cleveland Herring; and her son Richard Lynwood Potts. She is survived by: her daughter Dorothy.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Cedar Roads Chapel/Falcon Children's Home Fund, 2111 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23323.
