He was predeceased by: his mother Henrietta Turnbull Armstrong; his wife Evelyn Marie Phillips Armstrong; his daughter Donna Rae Armstrong; and his sisters, Margaret Faye Ferris and Lois May Armstrong.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Armstrong Walker (Mike); his grandchildren, Candice Sanford (John), Joshua Chilton, Shane Chilton (Felicia) and Sarah Mae Chilton; his great grandchild Grace Chilton; his sister-in-law Mary Botkin; his nephew Martin Botkin (Kathy); and his niece Mary Scott (Bruce).
