It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Gray Venable of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Venable and Daisy White Venable; his grandson Dylan Gray Venable; his brother Rex Venable; and his sister-in-law Sharon Quesinberry.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Venable; his daughter Shannon Mitchell; his son-in-law John Deark; his son Michael Gray Venable; his close friends, Alyssa, Ian, Olivia, Eric, Carli Rose, Christian, Calvin and Katie; and his siblings, Linda Edwards (Craig Edwards), Billie Goins (Charlie), Jack Venable and Larry Quesinberry.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
