It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dean Strickland of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on April 30, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee Strickland and Ethel Mozelle King Strickland. He is survived by: his son Landon Strickland (Allyni Tate); his girlfriend Susan Crissman; his sister Margaret; his brother-in-law Jimmy Rakes; his brother Tommy; his sister-in-law Judy Strickland; and his son Lucas Galyean. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew; many cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
