He is survived by: his children, Julie Hodges (Willie), Marilyn Slate (Bobby), David Wayne Turner, Jr. (Tammy) and Jesse Michael "Mikey" Turner (Tammy Pell); his grandchildren, David Wayne Turner, III (Melissa), Haley Turner Goins (Chase), Jaden Nicole Turner, Brittany Slate Pozo (Kevin), Bridgette Denise Slate, Katlyn Marie Hodges, Kaymen McDowell Hodges and Ella Konstance Hodges; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Wayne Turner, Melia Grace Turner, Madison Nicole Turner, Isaac David Turner and Slate-Pozo; and his siblings, Gayle Hunter (Dean), Donna Edwards, Tom Turner, Mike Turner (Astrid), Joe Turner (Brenda), Paul Turner and Joel Turner (Liz). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
