He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Neil and Nannie Shelton Smith; his wife Joan Smith; and his siblings, Evelyn Childress, Herbert, Bill, Clarence and Russell Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Ray (Brian Ray) and Stephen Edmonds, Sr. (Crystal Edmonds); his grandchildren, Drayden, Meredith, Grayson, Taygan Ray, Stephen Edmonds, Jr., Luke, Brandon, Allayna, Desiree Edmonds and Jasmine Walker; his great grandchild Owen River Edmonds; his brother Bobby Gray Smith (Shelby); and his pet Corabelle.
