With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clay Denny Jr. of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on June 1, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Whitaker Denny, Sr. and Madge Covington Denny; his nephew Kevin Needham; and his mother-in-law Jo Anne Hiatt. He is survived by: his wife Kim Hiatt Denny; his children, Cortni Lauren "Cori" Miller (Matthew James "Matt"), William Russell "Will" Shelton and Addison Louise "Addie" Shelton; his grandchildren, Maxwell James Miller of Greensboro and Taylor Victoria Miller of Greensboro; his sisters, Billie Lynn (Jerry Needham) and Victoria Jane Denny of Pilot Mountain; his father-in-law Bill Hiatt of Mount Airy; his siblings-in-law, Chris and Melissa Hiatt of Mount Airy; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Needham, Jake (Erin Hiatt), Scarlett (Mark Vogler) and Rachel Hiatt.
