With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie Gene Moncus of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luther and Myrtle Mae Hall Moncus; his former wife Nancy Mae Hawks Moncus; his siblings, Mary Edith Moncus, Cleo Richardson, Rosa Lee Goins, Curtis Moncus, Robert Moncus and Marvin Moncus; and his nephew Robert Harold "Monk" Moncus.
He is survived by: his wife Helena Creed Moncus; his stepdaughter Sonya Niston (Steve) of Mount Airy; his stepgranddaughter Whitney Venable (Zack) of Mount Airy; and his niece Annie Mae Scott of Mount Airy.
