With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Rogers Spires of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Auburn, Alabama, who passed away on November 9, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Seaborn Thomas Rogers and Emogene Edwards Rogers; and her sister Paula Rogers Woodward of Pensacola, FL.. She is survived by: her husband Wilmot J. "Hank" Spires, Jr. of Mount Airy, NC; her children, Brannon Spires McDaniel (Michael) of Union and Wilmot "Wil" Jefferson Spires, III (Elizabeth Bondurant) of Winston-Salem; her brother Thomas Edwards Rogers (Rachel) of Alexander City, Alabama; her siblings-in-law, Thomas Spencer "Spin" Spires (Lynn) of Birmingham and Doris Deanne Webb of Sylacauga, Alabama.; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Garrett McDaniel, Paige Catherine McDaniel of Union, Kentucky, Wilmot Jefferson Spires, IV and Anne Porter Spires of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
