She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Lee Smith; her grandsons, Bobby Lee Smith and Timothy Justin Bowman; and her brothers, John Jefferson Tate of Mount Airy, Michael Ray Tate of Mount Airy and Franklin Harris Tate of Lambsburg, VA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
