He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard Adams and Versie Haymore Adams Gammons; his sister Frances Gammons (Johnny Cox); and his stepfather Andrew Gammons. He is survived by: his wife Mary Leigh Simmons Adams; his son Grant; his daughter-in-law Lisa Adams; his siblings, Betty (Mike Simmons), Brenda Quesinberry and Joe Bill; and his sister-in-law Jean Adams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
