It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Lee Benge of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Benge and Emma Myrtle Surratt Benge; his sister Virginia; his brother-in-law Fred Abels; his brother Charles Wayne "Pete" Benge; and his brother-in-law Mason Warf.
He is survived by: his friend Maxine Carlisle; his sisters, Shirley Benge, Wanda (Don Surratt) and Alma Warf; his nieces and nephews, Dorlisa Abels (Alan Quesinberry), Karen Warf and Tim Warf; and also, David, Susan, Charmaine and Mike. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
