Billy Tucker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Tucker of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Herman and Annie Inman Tucker; his wife Sharon Kay Mooneyhan Tucker; his son Charles Michael Tucker; his grandson William Herman "Heavy" Tucker, II; and his sisters, Arlene Tucker Heller, Jo Ann Tucker Tate, Gladys Tucker McCormick, Cora Lee Tucker Edwards, Katherine Tucker Slate and Helen Tucker Hudson.
He is survived by: his children, Mary "Cindy" Evelyn Tucker Hutson (Steve), Elsie Louise Tucker Coleman (Wayne Coleman), Dorothy Lynn Tucker Gunter (Billy), William Herman Tucker (Shorty), Reverend David Wayne Tucker (Thresa) and John Timothy Tucker (Mandy). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the White Plains Baptist Church (614 Old U. S. 601, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
