He is survived by: his close friend Laura Overbey of State Road, NC.; his children, Jennifer Adams (Andrew) of Mt. Airy, Melissa Carson (Mark) of Freeport, PA and Justin Wells (Becky) of West Jefferson, NC.; his former wife Janet Finkbeiner Wells of Canandaigua, NY.; his grandchildren, Caleb, Cameron Adams, Alex Carson (Jessica), Sean Carson (Abbey), Emerson and Owen Wells; and his siblings, Barbara Timmons-Herron (Le), John Wells (Karen) and Mary Ellen Poyhonen.
