It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Bunker Blackmon of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bunker and Emma Gambill Bunker; her son Albert Montgomery Blackmon; her great grandchildren, Tyson Rogers and Henry Blackmon; and the father of her children Zack W. Blackmon, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Tanya (Hobart Jones), Deidre (Mark Rogers) and Zack; her daughter-in-law Sherry Blackmon; her grandchildren, Dr. Richard Jackson, II, Dr. Jennifer Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Zach Jackson, Erin Haymore, Daniel, Zack Worrell Blackmon, III, Ashley, Albert Montgomery Blackmon, Jr., Rachel, Dustin Rogers, Britni, Deyton Gough and Chase; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Skyler Weber, Parker, Cooper Jackson, Emilynn, Davis Haymore, Makenzie, Bryce Blackmon, Kenedi Blaire, Hudson, Kenston, Wyatt Rogers, Baylor, Grayson Gough, Albie and Ruby Grace Blackmon.
