He was predeceased by: his father John Henry; and his siblings, Janie Mae Anderson, Bill Anderson, John Henry Anderson, Harvey Lee Anderson and David Lee Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Gwyn Anderson; his son Doug Anderson (Janie) of Traphill; his grandchildren, Jonathan Noah Anderson of Traphill and Annie Draughn (Steven) of Claudville, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Hunter Draughn, Gary Draughn, Braxten Draughn and Sophia Draughn; and his siblings, Ella Mae Knight (Moe) of Yadkinville, Lorene Wood of Rhonda, Irene Hart of Elkin and Ronnie Anderson (Rachel) of Elkin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
