She was predeceased by: her father Claude Augustus; her husband James Carl Pruitt; her siblings, Luvenia (Jesse "Bill" Simmons), Edna (Otis Sisk) and Elder Clayton; her sister-in-law Carolene Moseley; and her nephew Kevin Gillespie.
She is survived by: her daughter Dana Lynne Pruitt of Pilot Mountain; her nieces and nephews, John, Wanda Simmons of Mooresville, Suzanne, Randy Collins of Mount Airy, Jimmy, Susan Simmons of King and Tracy Simmons of Lewisville; and her caregiver Robin Smith of Mount Airy.
