He was predeceased by: his siblings, Judy Bowman Angel, Vivian Bowman Joyce and Clayton P. Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Groseclose Bowman; his children, Christopher Layne Bowman (Lynn) of Wake Forest, NC, Elizabeth Bowman Martin of Mount Airy, NC and Kara Bowman Langford (Paul) of East Greenwich, RI; his grandchildren, Lauren Bowman Wright (Jay), Grant Christopher Bowman, Everett Samuel Martin, Sarah Elizabeth Martin, Nathaniel Paul Langford and Reagan Victoria Langford; his stepgrandson Ryan James Spear; and his great grandchildren, Wesley Calvin Wright and Landon James Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
