He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar "Bill" and Kate Blue Haynes; and his siblings, Ann Cave, Agnes Chilton, Iris Hodge, Betty Easter, William Haynes, Arnold Haynes and Don Haynes.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Dean Woodruff Haynes; his children, Donna Leigh (Gilbert Ray "Butch" Myers, Jr.), Kimberly Ann (David Tompkins) and Archie Daniel "Danny" Haynes, Jr. of Pilot Mountain; his grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla Myers of West Jefferson, Alex and Kyle Venrick of Concord; his great grandchild George Henry Myers; his sister Catherine; and his siblings-in-law, Buddy Creed of Lowgap and Lillie Mae Haynes of Mount Airy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
