She was predeceased by: her parents, Posey Raines and Nellie Scott Marion; her husband Andrew Davis Smith; and her brothers, Thomas Marion and Cecil Marion.
She is survived by: her daughter Jan; her son-in-law Leon Whitaker; her son David; her daughter-in-law Karen Smith; her grandchildren, Shannon (Joey Collins), Shawn (Amanda Whitaker), Chad (Leigh Ann Smith), Tracy (Brian Snow) and Justin Smith; her great grandchildren, Kara Collins, Sara Collins, Kaci Collins, Olivia Whitaker, Macey Whitaker, Elijah Smith, Ava Smith, Everleigh Smith and Madison Snow; and her great great grandchild Asa McCloud.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, 1327 Grove Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
